The memorial is to be found in the grounds of the parish church in Woodford. It takes the form of a stone base surmounted by a plinth with shaft and cruifix. A tablet is set into the wall nearby containing the inscriptions.

Baptised 26 April 1908 in Higham Ferrers, Northamptonshire. Son of Rev. Gerald Markby Davidson (deceased) and Florence Mabel Davidson; husband of Nancy Everilda Delacherois Davidson, Chelsea, London. Awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.). In the 1911 census he was aged 3, born Higham Ferrers, Northants, resident with his family at The Vicarage, Higham Ferrers, Northamptonshire. COUNTY FAMILIES TO BE UNITED

The engagement is announced between Donald Montague Noel Davidson, youngest son of the late Rev. G. M. Davidson, and Mr. Davidson, of Woodford Rectory, Kettering, and Nancy Everilda Delacherois, elder daughter of Lieutenant-Colonel C. D. Irwin and Mrs. Irwin, of Orchard House, Oundle.

About two months ago the engagement was announced of Mr. Davidson's sister, Jean, to Captain H. A. R. Tilney, of the 14-20th Hussars, who frequently hunts with the Pytchley. His elder brother married Miss Margaret Bagshaw, daughter of the Vicar of Finedon.

Mr. Davidson has one other sister anf three more brothers.
