The memorial is located inside, on the north wall, of the Church of Holy Paraclete, Kirkhaugh. It takes the form ogf a white marble plaque on a black pattress, with an overhanging top, slightly domed, beneath which is a laurel wreath carved in half relief. The sculptors were Beattie & Co., Carlisle. A faculty was granted for the Roll of Honour 29 December 1919. There are five names listed of those who gave their lives and fourteen who served and returned.

MAUGHAN	Edward Rowell	750324 C Bty., 250th Bde., Royal Field Artillery, died 05 November 1917, aged 25. Son of Joseph and Emma Edith Maughan, of 45 Queen’s Road, Jesmond, Newcastle-on-Tyne. Commemorated at the Etaples Military Cemetery
MAUGHAN	John W.R.	38845, 1st Bn., The Loyal North Lancashire Regiment, died 24 October 1918, aged 20. Son of George and Jane Maughan, of Saughtree Gate, Heads Nook, Carlisle. Commemorated at the Highland Cemetery, Le Cateau
TARN	Mark Aitchison	M/1509, H.M.S. Aquarius, Royal Navy, died 31 August 1915, aged 21. Son of John and Mary Tarn, of 16 Hornby Road, Bootle, Liverpool. Commemorated at the East Mudros Military Cemetery
