Lieutenant, 14th [sdgw] OR 6TH [cwgc] Battalion, Highland Light Infantry. Died of wounds 5th September 1918. Aged 26. Son of Patrick Chalmers Bruce and Lucy Bruce, of Kinleith, Currie, Midlothian. Buried in ABBEVILLE COMMUNAL CEMETERY EXTENSION, Somme, France. Plot IV. Row E. grave 2.

Son of Huskie Easton Bruce, of Cambuskenneth Abbey, Stirling. No known grave. Commemorated on PLOEGSTEERT MEMORIAL, Comines-Warneton, Hainaut, Belgium. Panel 1.

Son of the late Peter and Sarah Caird. No known grave. Commemorated on THIEPVAL MEMORIAL, Somme, France. Pier and Face 15 B and 15 C.

Private 7306, 1/4th Battalion, King’s Own Scottish Borderers. Killed in the Dardanelles 12th July 1915. Aged 21. Born Kirkcudbright, enlisted Coldstream, Berwick, resident Dolphington. Son of Alexander and Mary Chalmers, of Garvald, Dolphinton, Edinburgh. No known grave. Commemorated on HELLES MEMORIAL, Turkey. Panel 84 to 92 or 220 to 222.

Son of Mr. and Mrs. James Dickson, of Blyth Bridge, Dolphinton, Peeblesshire. Awarded the Distinguished Conduct medal (D.C.M.). Buried in LA VILLE-AUX-BOIS BRITISH CEMETERY, Aisne, France. Plot I.
