KILLIN WAR MEMORIAL

The Killin memorial stands beside the A827 approaching fromm the west of Killin. It takes the formm of a kilted Highland soldier, with rifle and full kit, standing on a rough stone base enclosed in a low walled enclosure. There are 28 names listed for World War 1 and 6 for World War 2. Tyhe memorial was unveiled on 27th October 1920; the sculptor was Mr Alexander Carrick.
