Private 25908, 6th Battalion, Leicestershire Regiment. Died of wounds Thursday 12th October 1916 in England. Age 31. Born and resident Ayston, Rutland, enlisted Uppingham. Buried in south-west corner of St. Mary Churchyard, Ayston, Rutland.

Private 26159, 9th Battalion, Leicestershire Regiment. Killed in action Monday 25th September 1916 in France & Flanders. Born Ayston, Rutland, enlisted Uppingham. Commemorated on Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France. Pier and Face 2 C and 3 A.

Private 52291, 17th Battalion, King's (Liverpool Regiment). Died of wounds Tuesday 31st July 1917 in France & Flanders. Born and resident Ayston, Rutland, enlisted and resident Liverpool. Commemorated on Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Ieper, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. Panel 4 and 6.
