Lance Corporal 14909, 7th Battalion, Suffolk Regiment. Enlisted: Stradishall, Suffolk. Born Barnardiston. Son of Mr and Mrs George Brett of Barnardiston. Killed in Action 30th November 1917. Age 21. No known grave. Commemorated: Cambrai Memorial, Louverval, Panel 4
CHAPMAN Samuel
Guardsman 5558, 2nd Battalion, Coldstream Guards. Enlisted: 1912. Born Barnardiston, died at Barnardiston of wounds received in France. Died 13th August 1915. Age 29. Buried Barnardiston Churchyard, no headstone
CLARKE Frederick
Private G/29350, 7th Battalion, Royal Fusiliers. Enlisted: Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. Born Hendon, London, lived Barnardiston. Son of Alfred and Hannah Clarke of Hundon, Clare, Suffolk. Killed in Action 13th November 1916. Age 35. Buried: Ancre British Cemetery, Beaumont–Hamel, III. C. 12
HURRELL Charles
Private 43582, 2nd Battalion, Suffolk Regiment. Enlisted: Haverhill, Suffolk. Born Barnardiston. Son of Joseph and Kate Hurrell of Barnardiston. Killed in Action 7th May 1917. Age 23. Buried: Feuchy Chapel British Cemetery, Wancourt, I. D. 14
