The Iken war memorial can be found within the parish church and takes the form of a bronze plaque within a stone frame. It contains the name of 10 men who gave their lives during World War 1.

WILKINSON

Lionel

Believed to be Private 7857, "B" Company, 2nd Battalion, Norfolk Regiment. Died 30/11/1916. Age 28. Son of Mr and Mrs James Wilkinson of Malling Cottage, Bentley, Ipswich. Commemorated on the Basra Memorial. The Iken Memorial states "Lionel Wilkinson – Rifle Brigade" – The above is the only Lionel on the CWGC lists
