The
main WAR memorial is to be found in the Town Hall and takes the form
of a list of names and initials only, carved on wooden panels at the
top of the main staircase above the entrance hall. The Eastbourne Borough
Memorial Book kept in the library records most of these names with some
details and additions. Later entries are rather basic with Surname and
initials only. There are many church memorials and organisations and
these are included where possible as follows.

Numbers
vary as usual but 1258 seems to be roughly the total recorded so far.
More will doubtless be added.
