Company Quartermaster Sergeant 4745486, York and Lancaster Regiment. Killed in the Battle for Crete in 28th May 1941. Aged 26. Son of Frederick James Crosby and Louisa Crosby; husband of Doreen Crosby. of Southsea, Hampshire. Buried in SUDA BAY WAR CEMETERY, Crete. Plot 14. Row B. Grave 7.


Charles Arthur Nightingale

Trooper 318639, Yorkshire Hussars, Royal Armoured Corps. Died 16th March 1946. Buried to the East of the church in ST BOTOLPH CHURCHYARD, BOSSALL, Yorkshire. Row 1.

Lance Corporal 4696365, 2nd Northamptonshire Yeomanry, Royal Armoured Corps. Died 31st July 1944. Aged 27. Son of Frederick Thomas Holmes and Ada Elizabeth Holmes; husband of Leila Holmes, of York. Buried in HOTTOT-LES-BAGUES WAR CEMETERY, Calvados, France. Plot II. Row D. Grave 3.

William Utrick

Major 39294, "A" Squadron, 3rd King's Own Hussars, Royal Armoured Corps. Died 11th December 1940. Son of Colonel William H. Ritson, C.M.G., V.R.D., and Alison C. Ritson; husband of Penelope Ritson, of York. B.A. (Cantab.). Buried in Cemetery: HALFAYA SOLLUM WAR CEMETERY, Egypt. Plot 1. Row D. Grave 8.
