Rifleman A/200552, 12th Battalion, King's Royal Rifle Corps. Died of wounds 25th March 1918. Formerly 6039 Cambridgeshire Regiment. Buried in Roye New British Cemetery, Somme, France.

Hugh CLARK(E)

Private 26310, 1st Battalion, Bedfordshire Regiment. Killed in action 25-10-17. Commemorated on Tyne Cot Memorial, Belgium.

Richard Herbert CLARKE

Private 36544, 6th Battalion, Royal Berkshire Regiment. (Princess Charlotte of Wales) died of wounds 11-3-1917, age 23. Born and enlisted Wisbech. Son of Sophia Clarke, of Four Gotes, Tydd, and the late Thomas Clarke. Formerly 4636 Cambridgeshire Regiment. Buried in Pozieres British Cemetery, Somme, France.

Harry CRAGG

Private 15760, 6th Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment. Killed in action at Kiretch Tepe Sirt in
the Suvla sector on 28-11-15, age 22, Gallipoli. Lived Grange Hill Farm, Tydd St Giles. Buried in Azmack Cemetery, Turkey.

John William FINCHAM

20755 L/Cpl, 11th Battalion, Suffolk Regiment. Killed in action 1-7-16, age 36. Son of Grimmer Fincham. Husband of Alice Sarah Fincham, of Tydd St Giles. Parents lived Bedlam Corner, March. Buried in Ovillers Military Cemetery, France. His wife is buried in Tydd churchyard, along with 2 of his daughters. See also March and Coldham.

Private 15325, 7th Battalion, Bedfordshire Regiment. Killed in action 1-7-16, age 22. Son of James and Mary Ann Godfrey, of Tydd St Giles. Commemorated on Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France.

Frederick GODFREY

Private 25064, 8th Battalion, Suffolk Regiment. Killed in action 12-11-16, age 23. Son of Frederick and Catherine Godfrey, of Chapel Lane, Tydd St Giles. Buried in Regina Trench Cemetery, Somme, France.

William Harry GODFREY

Private148824, 5th Battalion, Machine Gun Corps. Killed in action 29-5-18. Awarded Military Medal. Formerly 1414 Royal Warwickshire Regiment. Buried in Tannay British Cemetery, Thiennes.

Private 26746, 7th Battalion, Suffolk Regiment. Killed in action 9-8-16, age 26. Husband of Kate Bothamley (formerly Groves), of Barton Holt, Tydd St Mary. Commemorated on Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France.

Private 886424, 10th Battalion, Canadians. Killed in action 11-11-17 (Passchendaele), age 30. Formerly of Tydd Gote. Buried in Passchendaele New British Cemetery, Belgium.

Gunner LZ5581, Royal Navy, SS Westergate (MPS). Ship torpedoed and sank 21-4-18, age 21. Son of Reuben & Elizabeth Kettle, Foul Anchor Inn. Buried in Geffossen Churchyard.
