Spittlegate (Spitalgate) is both an ecclesiastical parish and a portion of the town of Grantham on the southeast corner of the town. It is at the intersection where the A52 trunk road crosses the B1174 south of Grantham. The aprish church is St. John the Evangelist. The church has a section set aside as a chapel that contains walled panels containing the names of those who gave their lives in both World War 1 and Wortld War 2.
