Manchester University: 1914; Student, Engineering; Officer Training Corps, October 1914 to December 1914. Premium Apprentice, Horwich Locomotive Works, Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway. Enlisted December 1914; 7th Battalion Manchester Regiment. Gazetted 20th June 1918. Buried in ANNEUX BRITISH CEMETERY, Nord, France. Plot I. Row A. Grave 20. See also Manchester University

Able Seaman, Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway. Born Wivenhoe, Colchester, Essex, resident Goole, Yorkshire. Husband of Sarah Ann Ford, of 13, Widop Street, Goole, Yorkshire. Buried in SUNDERLAND (RYHOPE ROAD) CEMETERY, Durham. Grave refeence 5. A. 11647.
