Married Amelia Hearn 18 December 1909 in Goole 18 December 1909. In the 1911 census he was married to Amelia Griffin, aged 23, born Hatham, Yorkshire, a Horse Shunter with Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway, boarding at 16 Fifth Avenue, Goole, Yorkshire & Yorkshire (West Riding). Buried in VIEILLE-CHAPELLE NEW MILITARY CEMETERY, LACOUTURE, Pas de Calais, France. Plot VII. Row C. Grave 1.

Clerk, Assistant to Goods Manager, Manchester Vctoria Station, Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway. Born 18 September 1897 in Chorlton-cum-Hardy. Gazetted October 1916. Son of Councillor J. C. Grime, J.P., M.B.E., of 36, Peter Street, Manchester. Baptised 25 December 1897 in Manchester, Lancashire, son of Joseph Crookes and Florence May Grimes. Educated at Blackpool Secondary School, St. Peter's College, Brussels, and Manchester University. In the 1901 census he was aged 3, born Lancashire, son of Joseph Crookes and Florence May Grime, resident 18, Reynard Road, Chorlton cum Hardy, Chorlton, Lancashire. Admitted to Blackpool Secondary School 5 April 1910, son of Joseph Crookes Grime, resident 84, Withnell Road, SouthShore, Blackpool, left 31 July 1912 to attend College St Pierre, Brusssels; previously educated at South Shore Council School and Arnold House School (Private). In the 1911 census he was aged 13, born Chorlton Handy, Lancashire, at school, son of Joseph Crookes and Flornece Mary Grime, resident 86, Osborne Road, South Shore, Blackpool, Lancashire.
