and Jane Elizabeth Bateman; husband of Sophia Bateman (nee Burden),
of 85, South Street, Goole, Yorks, married 10 October 1914 in Goole.
Baptised 30 August 1893 in Goole, son of George Henry and Jane Elizabeth
Bateman resident Doyle Street, Goole. In the 1911 census he was
aged 17, born Goole, Yorkshire, a Goods Porter, Lancashire and Yorkshire
Railway, residinjg with his aunt, Mary Elizabeth Goodall, at Back
Raven Street, Ravensthorpe, Dewsbury, Yorkshire & Yorkshire
(West Riding). No known grave. Commemorated on TOWER HILL MEMORIAL,

reseve, formerly Labourer in Coalpit. Height 5 feet 5 inches, chest
35½ inches, brown hair, brown hair, fresh complexion. Transferred
to Reserve at Portsmouth 4 December 1911. Recalled for service 13
July 1914. Husband of Winnie Bedford, of 35 Tavern Street, off John
Street, Wakefield, Yorks. No known grave. Commemorated on PORTSMOUTH
